Lexus Luxury Hybrid - 2010 Lexus HS 250h

There is no questioning the success and hype that the infamous hybrid, aka Toyota Prius, commanded when it hit the market.  The demand was so high for the hot little hybrid that Prius owners would’ve profited had they decided to sell their hybrid or trade-in their beloved Toyota Prius.  It has been all about Toyota Prius, but maybe there’s something the Prius lacks, Lexus claims to have found it.

Those who own a Toyota Prius somehow managed to tolerate it’s interior and overall utilitarian design in favor of owning this hard to find hybrid.  The hybrid craze and demand for the Prius was hard to compete with, but now that Lexus has came out with their luxury hybrid, it is likely going to draw some existing Prius owners or those who were Prius shopping to look at the Lexus.

The Toyota Prius wasn’t designed for comfort, or engineered to look sporty or aerodynamic. They were missing that design element, a critical attribute that attracts people to a car, something Lexus decided to address with the new 2010 Lexus HS 250h, the first true luxury hybrid.

Toyota Prius sacrificed appearance for utility and gas mileage, but now perhaps these Prius owners may want comfort and good looks back into the package.  Many hybrid car owners, some even billionares, were willing to sacrifice and surrender the lavish comforts you might attribute to a brand like Lexus so they could drive a really fuel efficient hybrid.  It made a definite impact, and many were sold, but now it might be shifting back towards what really attracts people to cars.

More From Lexus About the New Lexus HS 250h:

Included with the available Navigation System, Lexus Enform offers eDestination, Destination Assist and Lexus Insider. To get an idea, perhaps we publish an article about the new Lexus LS 460, though it isn’t your style.  A couple days later an article is published on our luxury hybrid, the Lexus HS 250h, the only true hybrid that combines technology of a Prius with the luxury of a Lexus.

In fact, the reason why Lexus built the Lexus HS 250h hybrid was because people were asking for it.  One example, in the UK, where a Toyota Prius owner completely rebuilt his interior with leather and comfortable features in 2007 which after it was said and done he’d dropped about 17,500 GBP into it.   That’s over $30,000 on top of the price of the Prius, just because he wanted to drive a Lexus but wouldn’t sacrifice his true hybrid car in order to do so.

Toyota Prius owners indicated the demand for luxury, and Lexus delivered.  We truly value the ideas and inspiration that come from Lexus owners, and those who want to own a luxury vehicle at some point.
