Toyota, the parent company of Lexus, is investigating why a HS 250h could experience a fuel spill from its gas tank should the car be hit from behind.

This recall involves a potential leak near the gas tank putting the vehicle at risk should it become involved in a rear impact collision. The test that concluded this risk was conducted by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and found that a rear end collision at 50 MPH resulted in a breach of the fuel system.
